In this 21 century, there are many social problems like rape, discrimination, incest, sexual harassment and others social problems that are happening non-stop. The people in the country are worried about these problems. They are scared and fearful that they will become the next victims. The main reasons why people will commit crime are due to environment, peers or parents. In my opinion, I think that people commit crimes are because of selfish reason. It is because they commit crime for money, their own personal’s emotion and to survive in their lives.
Firstly, most of the people commit crime is because of money. They may face financial problems. For example, they don’t have enough money for their family or have a lot of debts. They will try to become a thief or a robber to steal valuable things from other people to resell again and earn money to solve their financial problems. Besides that, people who are lazy and want to earn easy money will try to cheat or steal people’s money. Nowadays, there are many cheaters using many kinds of skills to cheat people. For example, they create a fake business website and introduce people to invest it. People who are interested may be attached by this website. Unfortunately,people who attach great importance to money may also commit crime. They want to earn a lot of money in a short time. For example, the drug sellers can earn a lot of money in one time. They just want to complete the mission or transaction given by others people and may earn about hundred thousand in a month. They don’t care about other's feelings and just care about the amount of money they will earn.
Secondly, sometime personal’s emotion will also influence one to commit crime. A person who is lower in emotion intelligence may commit crime like murder, vandalism, and others. This is because they cannot control their emotion when they suffer greatly. For example, emotion like jealousy is a negative emotion. Sometime, people are so jealous that they hurt others. If a boy really loves his lover, he may give up everything, even his life to help his lover when anything happens to his lover. Furthermore, lust is also a negative emotion that will cause one to commit crime like rape, sexual harassment and others. They cannot control their emotion and don’t care about other’s feelings. People who don’t have satisfaction on sex may rape other people. For example, when men see sexy and attractive girls passing by, they are being tempted and this will lead them to harass those girls. This is because they want to vent their emotion and satisfy their lust and they do not care about others people’s feelings or the damage they cause.
Lastly, I would like to highlight that people commit crime for their own benefits because they want to survive in their lives. People who don’t have any education background may hard to find a good job with a good salary. It is because in the present society, there are many jobs that want to hire people who have high education background such as people who have degree or master certification. They cannot compete with people from higher education background. If they have a job but the salary may not be enough for them to use. Consequently, this may cause them commit crime like kidnapping and robbery to survive. Sometimes, they might kill because the victim might know their secret.
As a conclusion, I strongly believe that people commit crimes because of selfish reasons. Their selfish action is because of money, their own personal’s emotion and to survive in their life.
